We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Youth Workers.

About the Role

As a casual Residential Youth Worker, you will be working with children and young people who are living in out-of-home care. Our rosters are done in advance, which grants you some stability working in a casual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Creating a Safe Environment: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at-risk youth.
  2. Empowering Daily Living: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence.
  3. Transportation Support: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities.
  4. Promoting Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community.
  5. Healthcare Support: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting.
  6. Trauma-Informed Care: Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches.
  7. Therapeutic Practices: Participate in the Trauma Recovery framework and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within your first three months.
