Job Opportunity

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Youth Workers.

  • The role involves providing direct care, supervision, and support to young people with high and complex needs.
  • You will develop and implement tailored strategies to re-engage young people in education, therapeutic supports, and community life.
  • You will use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches, grounded in The Sanctuary Model, to create a safe, stable, and positive living environment.
  • You will assist with daily routines while supporting young people to build independence and self-care skills.
  • You will build trust and strong relationships, offering consistent emotional support and guidance.
  • You will work collaboratively with internal specialists and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated care and progression of each young person's placement pathway.
About You
  • Proven experience supporting young people with complex trauma, behaviours of concern, or disrupted placement histories.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations with a therapeutic mindset.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (Certificate IV or above in Youth Work, Community Services, or similar).
  • Commitment to cultural awareness and inclusive practice, particularly in working alongside First Nations young people.
