Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Therapeutic Youth Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people in out-of-home care.

In this role, you will provide active support, health support, positive behaviour support, and safeguarding for the young people in your care. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualised plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.

As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to young people
  • Assisting with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, dressing, and transportation
  • Administering medication and documenting health support plans
  • Managing behaviours, triggers, and escalations
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of young people and staff members

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated motivation to work with young people
  • Current paid working with children check
  • Valid driver's license
  • First aid certificate
  • Up-to-date Covid vaccinations
  • Qualification - hold or be working towards a relevant diploma or degree
