
Strategic Tourism Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of strategies and systems for tourism and visitor management in protected areas, state forests and marine parks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and assistance to regional staff, other department staff and external stakeholders on tourism and visitor management issues. They will also assist in the development of policies and operating procedures relating to management of tourism and outdoor recreation on protected areas, state forests and marine parks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement and continuously improve strategies and systems for tourism and visitor management in protected areas, state forests and marine parks.
- Provide advice and assistance to regional staff, other department staff and external stakeholders on tourism and visitor management issues.
- Assist in the development of policies and operating procedures relating to management of tourism and outdoor recreation on protected areas, state forests and marine parks.
Job Requirements:
- Administration skills.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal (including liaison, advice and preparation of written reports).
- Research, analysis and problem solving.
- Ability to be an effective member of the team either working autonomously or within the team environment.
