Marketing Coordinator

This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and sustainability of our region.

We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator with experience in both social media and events, who is a skilled all-rounder to assist with projects of all shapes and sizes.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day management of our social media channels, including content creation and activation, community management, and campaign support
  • Providing events support, communicating with stakeholders and event organisers from across our region to advocate on behalf of us, to support and enhance event strategy, marketing, and promotion
  • Providing marketing support, assisting in the delivery of marketing administration, projects, and campaigns, this may be different across any given day, including researching new tourism products and events, coordinating content for our Visitor Guides, tracking marketing spend, among other activities

About you:

  • Passion for tourism and a genuine interest in contributing to the growth and sustainability of our region
  • Degree or relevant training in marketing, tourism, events, or a related discipline
  • Keen awareness of and ideally experience in event management and/or marketing
  • Can-do attitude and the ability to flex your style depending on what's needed
  • Great organisational skills and the ability to manage projects with multiple moving parts
  • Technical literacy in the use of social media and experience in creating engaging social content
  • Proven experience in online community management
  • Experience in website management either on Wordpress or Craft
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and database management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and relationship management skills
  • Honesty, accountability, and integrity in all dealings with our teams and stakeholders
