Job Overview:

The role of Privacy Analyst involves supporting the development and maintenance of a robust privacy framework for an organisation. This entails identifying and managing privacy risks that may arise from business operations and initiatives, promoting a culture of privacy awareness throughout the organisation.

This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days of in-office work per week.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the enhancement and implementation of a comprehensive privacy framework ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations across the organisation.
  • Develop, review, and maintain privacy policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements, provide effective communication and training on these requirements.
  • Investigate, report, and resolve privacy-related incidents in a timely manner.
  • Carry out privacy risk assessments.
  • Monitor and oversee privacy practices to ensure adherence to applicable data protection laws and regulations, including reviewing privacy incidents and risk assessments as necessary.
  • Prepare reports on privacy compliance status, incidents, and risk assessments for senior management.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Experience in a similar role within regulatory compliance or legal, preferably in the Australian financial services industry.
  • Background working in or providing services to a regulated financial services organisation, with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations and ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way.
  • Capacity to manage deliverables under rapidly changing priorities and demands.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
