Job Role Overview

The role of a Communications Specialist is pivotal in delivering an organisation's content strategy, digital content, media and issues management, and internal communications.

This specialist will provide fundamental support to the Communications Manager in devising and implementing strategies that foster audience engagement and contribute to establishing and maintaining mechanisms for engaging stakeholders.

The key responsibilities include developing systems and processes to facilitate audience interaction, managing media and issues management strategies, and working with other departments to coordinate internal communications channels.

Additionally, the Communications Specialist will oversee the development and production of content and communication collateral, implement communications-related policies and procedures, and manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage media and issues management strategies
  • Coordinate internal communications channels across departments
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of content and communication materials

To be successful in this role, you will require a formal tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing, and a minimum eight years' work experience in a marketing or communications environment.
