Public Health Specialist

The Environmental Health Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring public and environmental health programs are effectively delivered through investigations, assessments, and expert advice.
This position involves:
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting on matters related to food safety, environment, public health risks, noise, and nuisance legislation
- Undertaking routine monitoring of licensable businesses under state legislation and local laws
- Assessing and administering applications for licenses, approvals, renewals, and transfers
The successful applicant will interact, educate, and liaise with members of the public, private sector entities, local, state, or federal governments, other Council staff, and Councillors in providing specialist advice.
Competitive remuneration will be based on the successful candidate's level of experience, skills, and qualifications.
Key RequirementsTo be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Health.
