Procurement Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and driving top-tier suppliers to contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contract performance management: Ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.
  • Supplier relationship management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Drive supply chain synergies: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Conduct internal audit programs: Detect potential cost savings in food utility purchases.
  • Develop business cases and sourcing strategies: Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing.
  • Manage end-to-end cost-saving initiatives: From procurement to payment, ensure seamless execution.
  • Regularly review categories: Identify opportunities and leverage best practices in the procurement process.
  • Assist in maintaining supplier master contract files: Negotiate best value and authorize invoice payments.
  • Identify opportunities to bring new products and services: Expand offerings to designated categories.
  • Plan delivery timetables and liaise with suppliers: Ensure orders and delivery times are met.
  • Solve supply chain issues: Respond quickly to resolve any issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Experience in procurement management, managing purchasing spends of over $100M annually.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end procurement process and commercial maturity to adapt to market conditions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as CIPS or APICS.
  • Proven track record in achieving savings through strategic sourcing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and procurement systems.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) and spend analytics reporting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in competitive tender processes.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel skills.
