About the Role

Our team seeks an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our national Finance division at our Arundel (QLD) Head Office.

This key leadership role will oversee Buildsafe's domestic procurement function, covering purchasing, vendor management, contract reviews, facilities coordination, insurance administration, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate will strike a balance between strategy and execution to ensure our operations are efficient, cost-effective, and scalable.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the entire purchasing process for the Buildsafe Group
  • Oversee vendor management, contract reviews, and procurement compliance
  • Support facilities maintenance and insurance administration across branches
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement workflows and supplier performance
  • Manage budgets, approvals, reporting, and price accuracy in collaboration with Finance
  • Provide support to the Accounts Payable function (purchase orders, bill coding, etc.)
  • Foster a high-performance culture within a small but agile team
  • Represent Buildsafe with integrity, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset
About You
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles
  • Proven ability to negotiate, manage suppliers, and improve procurement systems
  • Desirable exposure to facilities/property management and insurance administration
  • Strong skills in Excel and procurement platforms (we use Netsuite)
  • Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • A confident leader and team player with outstanding stakeholder engagement skills
  • Able to juggle competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
