
National Sales Manager

Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced sales professional to manage and develop strategic relationships with key accounting partners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a national account management strategy to drive business growth, increase customer adoption, and enhance partner engagement.
This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel, meeting management, and appointment setting to support the growth of our business across the country.
- Develop and execute a national account management strategy to drive business growth and customer adoption.
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with key accounting partners to ensure long-term success and mutual benefits.
- Execute and coordinate national training programs to enhance partner capabilities and knowledge.
- Drive online strategy and alignment deep within each accounting practice to maximize Xero's value proposition.
- Develop project plans to support migration to Xero for large and multi-entity clients of key accounting partners.
- Work directly with large and multi-entity clients to demonstrate and sell the value of Xero.
- Ensure that a national partner engagement plan is developed for each partner.
- Manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders and decision makers within each partner organization.
- Ensure partners and other employees within the practice attend introductory webinars, events & certification training.
- Work closely with local Xero senior account managers to drive local awareness and engagement with the Xero platform.
- Engage in regular call cycles with allocated partners to monitor progress and address any challenges or concerns.
- Proven sales performance in financial technology products and/or accounting software.
- Direct experience in selling + cross-selling multiple products.
- Experience managing long-term C-suite level relationships for groups with offices across the country.
- Experience with Salesforce (or similar) CRM platforms.
- Direct experience and knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice.
- Loads of initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to create a quick and strong rapport with partners.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
