Academic & Wellbeing Intervention Role

The role of Academic and Wellbeing Intervention Teacher at Heritage College offers a meaningful opportunity to improve student outcomes and support their wellbeing.

This position is focused on student support across both primary and secondary levels at our two campuses. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Intervention Support: Providing targeted literacy and numeracy assistance for students who require additional help.
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Support (Primary): Collaborating with our established wellbeing team to facilitate and support mental health initiatives within the primary school.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate your ability to:

  • Implement proactive strategies to promote whole-school wellbeing and resilience.
  • Deliver targeted interventions for emerging mental health and behavioural needs.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess an intervention program that enhances students' engagement and achievement.
  • Provide targeted interventions to support students requiring additional assistance in literacy and numeracy.
  • Sponsor and promote the Christian-based values and ethos of the college based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Requirements for the role include a Bachelor of Education and VIT registration as a teacher. You will also need to be willing to work across both of our campuses.
