This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled dental assistant to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional dental care to those who need it most.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist in the provision of dental services within our Special Needs Dental Service. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Dental Service Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinic, contributing directly to the well-being of our patients.

The role involves providing dental assisting duties, including maintaining clinic administration and patient records, as well as interacting with other government and non-government stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent and strong organizational and administrative skills.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for arranging patient appointments, interpreters, recalls and referrals as directed, processing dental radiographs, and maintaining working relations with other healthcare providers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of official information
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Proven experience in the provision of chair-side dental assistance
  • Proven knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, instruments, materials and procedures and contemporary infection control procedures
