About the role

Semaphore Dental is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our professional and welcoming team in Semaphore.

This full-time role is ideal for an experienced assistant looking to contribute their expertise in a supportive, fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with our clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care, using your clinical knowledge and chairside skills to ensure smooth and efficient treatment delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during procedures by passing instruments, mixing materials, and ensuring the work area is clean and organised
  • Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients by greeting them, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort during appointments
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing payments
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to expand your dental knowledge and skills

What we're looking for

  • A genuine interest in the dental industry and a passion for providing high-quality patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and the broader team
  • Good organisational and multitasking abilities to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • A team-oriented mindset and the willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Relevant experience in a customer service or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
