Senior Consultant, Carbon - Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our team and lead the commercialisation of Carbon projects in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project delivery and management, with expertise in the Carbon sector.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves working with Commercial Advisory experience, providing commercialisation advice to Carbon project developers, identifying ACCU buyers, and running competitive processes to offtake ACCUs.

You will own our proprietary ACCU price forecast model and related scenario analyses, providing Carbon sector expertise into our Financial Advisory business, and supporting business development as needed.

  • Provide advice on project commercialisation to Carbon project developers
  • Identify and type ACCU buyers, value/risk of different project investment approaches, and interact with capital raising
  • Run competitive processes to offtake ACCUs (buy- or sell-side)
  • Owning our proprietary ACCU price forecast model and related scenario analyses
  • Provide Carbon sector expertise into our burgeoning Financial Advisory business
  • Focusing on Client project delivery and execution
  • Supporting business development as and where needed
Key Requirements
  • 4-6 years' relevant experience in Australia's Carbon sector
  • Experience of foreign Carbon markets (especially Asian) is desired but not essential
  • Strong project delivery & project management skills
  • Strong quantitative skills (MS Excel is fine, programming experience is welcome but not essential)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with diverse stakeholders
  • Prior experience in consulting / advisory is desired but not essential
  • Team-oriented individual with a proactive mindset and a self-starter approach to work
