Job Overview

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced professional to lead our team in commercialising Carbon projects in Australia, while helping ACCU buyers transact and raise capital.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management and people leadership skills, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. They will be responsible for leading a 3-4 person project team with the following key responsibilities:

  1. Providing advice on project commercialisation to Carbon project developers
  2. Identifying and understanding types of ACCU buyers, value / risks of different project investment approaches, and interaction with capital raising
  3. Running competitive processes to offtake ACCUs (buy- or sell-side), including soliciting, shortlisting & then recommending offtake buy / sell offers
  4. Leading on the provision of Carbon sector expertise into our Financial Advisory business, collaborating with that team to be a subject matter expert in these processes
  5. Originating, selling and growing a pipeline of Client projects in Carbon with a focus on Commercial Advisory
  6. Collaborating with our Brokerage team to lead the cross-sell of Advisory services to our Brokerage clients. This cross-sell includes existing Environmental & Carbon-related brokerage products (e.g., ACCUs & SMCs) and new products (e.g., REGOs)

The successful candidate will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and will work closely with our teams to drive growth and expansion in the Carbon sector. They will require a strong track record of originating and selling work of $1.5m+ p.a., gained in a consulting environment.
