Job Description

As a Grounds Keeper at our Retirement Villages, you will play a vital role in maintaining the grounds of our outdoor spaces. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of outdoor areas within the villages.
  • Performing regular inspections to identify and address issues related to landscaping, gardens, paths, and outdoor recreational areas.
  • Implementing and adhering to a comprehensive grounds maintenance schedule, including mowing lawns, pruning trees and shrubs, weeding flower beds, and watering plants as required.
  • Operating and maintaining grounds-keeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge cutters.
  • Ensuring all outdoor spaces are safe for residents by promptly addressing any safety hazards or potential risks.
  • Collaborating with other departments to support events or activities that involve outdoor spaces within the villages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trades qualification and/or significant experience in performing grounds keeping tasks.
  • Police Check.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
