Job Summary
The successful candidate will work alongside our team, contributing to the creation of innovative and practical designs for civil engineering projects with a focus on light gauge steel, residential, and light commercial structures.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and test solutions for civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
- Produce detailed documentation, including sketches, charts, and basic designs, for commercial and residential construction projects.
- Draft plans and technical drawings for civil engineering works, such as drainage, water supply, sewerage systems, and structural elements, using AutoCAD software.
- Manage project timelines and resources, maintaining and recording timesheets for civil projects, to ensure efficient use of time and materials.
- Prepare detailed construction designs for residential and commercial civil projects, incorporating efficient and economical design principles.
- Create technical charts for systems like drainage, water supply, and sewerage, in line with project specifications for residential and commercial developments.
- Review and amend structural drawings as necessary to meet client requirements and comply with industry regulations.
- Assist senior civil engineers by evaluating execution drawings and providing solutions for any issues encountered during construction.
- Supervise the preparation of as-built drawings and oversee the construction process in accordance with design plans, under the guidance of senior civil engineers.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare reports, including collecting data and analyzing results, to inform project designs and decisions.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- High competency with AutoCad and all Microsoft Office suites.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction environment.
About Us
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment.
