Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Intrax. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural designs and documentation for building structures with medium to large complexity.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your expertise in civil engineering and lead projects from concept design to construction. You will work closely with architects, project managers, builders, developers, and other stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver innovative structural designs and documentation for building structures with medium to large complexity.
  • Lead and manage projects from concept design to construction within budget and delivery time frames.
  • Liaise with architects, project managers, builders, developers, and other relevant project stakeholders.
  • Cultivate a sense of client focus in your everyday approach to work.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Attend site inspections and meetings during the construction phase.
Requirements:
  • A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • 2+ years of experience in civil design or structural design.
  • Drive Licenses.
  • Experience in design for high-end residential buildings, commercial buildings, and warehouse.
  • Experience in designing reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures, including raft, subfloor designs, timber framing, basements, and extensions.
  • Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools, including Space Gass (essential), Structural Toolkit (advantageous), and RAPT (advantageous).
  • An ability to build rapport with all types of clients and project stakeholders.
  • A drive to further develop your career and assist with business development.
  • Advanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes.
