About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing system architectures for new or existing computer systems, with a strong focus on technical support, network management, and hardware/software troubleshooting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems, ensuring optimal performance levels and data integrity.
  • Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows, responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software.
  • Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, ensuring that performance and security meet the needs of network users.
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues, resolving problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software, ensuring seamless adoption and productivity.
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions, protecting sensitive information and maintaining compliance.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations, mitigating risks and ensuring business continuity.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines, maintaining a secure and efficient infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mandatory Skills: Systems Administration, Systems Architecture
  • Certifications: IAT Level II certification required; CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Experience: High school diploma or equivalent + 19 years of experience; Bachelor's degree + 14 years of experience
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI Full Scope polygraph
