Family Support Parenting Practitioner

This role is focused on providing comprehensive support to families with children aged 0-6, aiming to promote healthy child development and positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood, Social Work, Allied Health or Community Development, and experience working with families in outreach or early childhood settings.

A strong understanding of child development, parenting support and play-based learning is essential for this position. The ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental and inclusive way is also crucial.

Key responsibilities include facilitating inclusive parenting groups, providing home-based support, promoting healthy child development and collaborating with internal and external agencies to ensure wraparound support for families.

  • Facilitate Inclusive Parenting Groups: Design and deliver engaging parenting programs tailored to diverse family needs.
  • Provide Home-Based Support: Offer tailored support to build parenting confidence and community connections.
  • Promote Healthy Child Development: Utilize play-based learning and parental guidance to support child development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
