Director of Strategic Education Coordination

The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions in Victoria seeks a visionary leader to drive the growth and prosperity of the state through education and training. As the Chief Executive Officer of the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Victoria by providing high-quality training that meets the needs of employers and students.
The OTCD is responsible for overseeing the TAFE network across Victoria, ensuring that it operates as a coordinated and efficient system. The CEO will provide strategic guidance to the TAFE network, aligning it with government expectations and requirements.
Key responsibilities include leading high-performance teams, engaging with stakeholders, communicating with diverse audiences, and advancing the expectations and performance measures set by the Ministerial Statement of Expectations. You will also oversee the management of the OTCD's operational accountabilities, including aligning strategy, budget, business planning, and reporting with the Department's overall policy and delivery priorities.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate contemporary leadership capability, critical thinking, pragmatism, and a result-oriented approach. You will also be expected to share your expertise and relevant experience to support continuous improvement and innovation, maximize network impact, and establish metrics to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of work delivered.
