About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Planning and Environment team. As a Senior Associate, you will provide advice and conduct disputes for clients in government and private sectors, with a focus on compulsory acquisition, compensation, planning matters, land valuation, and local government rating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on compulsory acquisition and compensation matters
  • Conduct disputes for clients in government and private sectors
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with the Planning and Environment team to deliver high-quality results
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers to develop their skills and expertise
Requirements
  • 6+ years' experience in private practice or government
  • Exposure to or experience in compulsory acquisition/compensation, valuation, and/or planning and environment law
  • Disputes experience at VCAT and/or the Supreme Court
  • Strong drafting skills, excellent communication skills, and a collegiate approach
