Medical Records Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and safeguarding sensitive health information.

  • In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and recording the exact location of each medical record within our system.
  • You will also develop and oversee the archiving schedule for our department, ensuring that all records are properly stored and accessible when needed.
  • An additional key responsibility will be handling and safeguarding sensitive health information in full compliance with patient privacy regulations.
  • You will manually upload and enter missing documentation into our internal information system.
  • You will assign and manage tasks for the filing team, supervising work to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Furthermore, you will work directly with external storage providers and oversee requests and transfers of medical records through multiple systems.

Requirements:

  • You must have effective use of relevant technologies, including Microsoft Office components and health management systems.
  • A strong foundation in verbal and written communication skills is essential.
  • A solid understanding of handling confidential information and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality is required.
