Job Description:

Our organization seeks a skilled Disability Services Manager to lead a team of support workers in delivering exceptional care to individuals with mental health challenges.

About the Role

This is a critical position within our service, requiring strong leadership and supervisory skills. As a Disability Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of disability support workers, ensuring their well-being and ability to deliver high-quality care.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Staff Development: Provide training and coaching to support workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Client Support: Provide direct support to clients, including personal care and daily living activities.
  • Operational Management: Manage day-to-day operations, including rostering, budgeting, and reporting.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 1 year experience leading or supervising a team in a healthcare or social services setting.
  • Relevant Qualifications: A Certificate III in Disability (or similar/higher qualification).
  • Skill Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and staff.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
