Procurement Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to develop and execute strategic category plans and procurement frameworks that meet client needs.

This role involves managing end-to-end procurement activities, including market approaches, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic category plans and procurement frameworks, managing end-to-end procurement activities, planning and coordinating vendor transitions, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in vendor performance and procurement processes, identifying market trends and translating data into meaningful analysis for decision-making, and presenting analytical recommendations and regular reporting to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic category plans and procurement frameworks.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including market approaches, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.
  • Plan and coordinate vendor transitions to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth and satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement in vendor performance and procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify market trends and translate data into meaningful analysis for decision-making to inform business strategies.
  • Presentation of analytical recommendations and regular reporting to senior stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship.
  • 4+ years' experience in procurement, consulting, or contract management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency to analyze data and inform business decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to drive results-oriented solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing timelines to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with senior management stakeholders to build trust and credibility.
