This volunteer opportunity takes you to the heart of Scotland, where you can immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands. As a volunteer at our husky ranch, you will have the chance to care for Siberian Huskies and gain hands-on experience in dog training and maintenance.
You will also have the opportunity to try your hand at dog mushing and learn about sled dog racing and off-grid living. In addition to these unique experiences, you will explore the surrounding wilderness through seasonal activities such as sledding, hiking, kayaking, and more.
Your days will be filled with physically demanding outdoor work, requiring you to be able to handle challenging conditions. You will live sustainably and adventurously in a remote setting alongside experienced animal trainers.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about animal care and training, and who are interested in off-grid living. Your qualifications include being physically fit and able to handle outdoor work, as well as having an interest in animal welfare and conservation.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive valuable experience and skills in animal care and training, as well as the opportunity to live and work in one of the most beautiful and remote areas of Scotland.
The minimum stay is 4 weeks, during which time you will be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of the ranch. This is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and connections, and to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and rewards of working with animals in a remote environment.
