Design Photography Teacher

Our department is seeking a highly skilled Design Photography teacher to join our team. We are committed to delivering high-quality education and providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.

Job Description:

We are seeking a teacher who can deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cover a range of design and photography topics, including design theory, history, and practice. You will guide learners in identifying needs or opportunities, crafting design briefs, and developing concepts through iterative, user-centred processes. Students will explore photography as both an aesthetic and functional medium, shaped by social, cultural, historical, environmental, and economic considerations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
  • Have a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices
  • Display how you will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential
  • Engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of effective classroom management strategies, and restorative practices
  • Ability to work well with your colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources, and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential
