Underground Mine Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Underground Mine Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our mine operations, ensuring seamless execution and meeting key performance indicators.

This role is critical in driving operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and promoting environmental sustainability while optimizing production and reducing costs.

  1. Develop and implement effective production strategies, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  2. Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility among team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  3. Support proactive safety initiatives, including regular toolbox meetings, health talks, and training programs.
  4. Manage contracts, mining activities, and administrative processes, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Maintain and upgrade infrastructure, plants, and equipment, prioritizing reliability and efficiency.
  6. Monitor project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in underground gold mining, with supervisory experience and excellent leadership, planning, scheduling, organizational, and communication skills. They should also have expertise in managing performance standards, conflict resolution, and team motivation.
