This FIFO role from Perth if offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
Your role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality geology services while working closely with the Mining Team to maximise operational efficiency and ore recovery. This includes:
Assist with diamond core logging of underground grade control and exploration programs;
Support the Mining Team in maximising ore recovery and minimising dilution;
Assist with underground diamond drill rig management;
Utilise site systems and QA/QC protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data; and,
Contribute to the delineation, extension and discovery of Reserves; and
Collect and analyse underground grade control data (face mapping, face sampling, core logging) in preparation for block modelling.
What You Bring
You'll bring your proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach and bring the following skills and experience:
Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology
Previous mining industry experience – preferably gold – with exposure to mine geology, grade control practices and reserve/stope definition drilling
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Datamine and Leapfrog or similar
Possess a current manual Driver's Licence
