About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students, ensuring that they receive the highest quality learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to implement innovative measures that enhance student learning outcomes and attendance, particularly in schools with high percentages of disadvantaged students.
- Prepare and submit data reports to the Principal as required.
- Develop and implement management and engagement strategies, including induction programs for new staff, to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
- Monitor individual student performance and behavior, and develop targeted intervention strategies to address any areas of concern.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, higher education institutions, and external agencies to develop and implement strategies that improve learning outcomes, student achievement, and attendance.
- Work closely with the school leadership team, department heads, year level coordinators, guidance officers, and teachers to utilize tools and resources that support student achievement and attendance.
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies and programs with local organizations, businesses, and not-for-profit groups.
- Liaise with external agencies to support new students and their families in integrating into the school community, addressing their holistic needs.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life, focusing on student attendance and academic outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and policies impacting education, particularly in relation to students and staff.
- Effectively manage human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. A strong understanding of educational principles and practices, as well as experience in leading and managing teams, is essential.
