We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with psychological or physical injuries return to work.

The successful candidate will have experience in conducting assessments, creating and monitoring rehabilitation plans, and influencing stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.

The ideal candidate will have associate or full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, experience in a similar role, and strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with a psychological or physical injury
  • Conduct initial assessments and identify suitable goals
  • Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work
  • Organise appropriate intervention with stakeholders
  • Provide vocational counselling
  • Conduct Vocational Assessments
  • Attend medical appointments with clients
  • Complete reports after assessments and meetings
  • Communicate with medical professionals regarding diagnoses and treatment
  • Facilitate a safe and timely graduated return to work
  • Document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • Associate or Full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
  • Experience in a similar role highly regarded
  • Car and valid Driver's license
  • Police check or willingness to obtain a police check prior to commencement
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
