Job Title: Big Data Platform Specialist

Job Description:

At Whizdom Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Big Data Platform Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for building and supporting the big data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and users to understand service/product requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into epics, features, and stories used by delivery teams.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, external parties, and/or research to ensure solutions meet relevant standards and other system/solution quality requirements.
  • Become a bridge between key client business stakeholders, project/iteration managers, solution architects/designers, developers, and testers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Professional Expertise:
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a tech BA or equivalent in IT consulting or other technology business units across the industry.
  • Significant IT Business Analyst experience in enterprise/big data projects with a combination of technical and functional business focus.
  • Must have experience designing data mapping from source to target systems with knowledge on business rules, data transformations, and reporting requirements.
  • Must have knowledge on traditional databases and modelling concepts like referential integrity, entity-relationship, etc.
Technical Expertise:
  • Ability to gather, organize, and synthesize large amounts of information from various sources and liaise with business for any requirement changes/clarifications.
  • Proficient in SQL to query and analyse data from various sources and modelling concepts like referential integrity, entity-relationship, etc.
  • Knowledge in data modelling methodologies and data engineering.
Desired Attributes and Skills:
  • One or more industry-recognised technology certifications or badges.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
