Electrical Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Our company is seeking a skilled Electrical Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Hot Strip Mill in Port Kembla.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for electricians with experience in instrumentation equipment to develop their skills and progress to supervising and coordinating maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant condition, ensuring safety standards are never compromised. They will also provide technical knowledge and root cause analysis to resolve equipment problems and maintain asset performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve plant condition, ensuring safety standards are never compromised.
  • Provide technical knowledge and root cause analysis to resolve equipment problems and maintain asset performance.
  • Manage daily plant performance, planning and overseeing maintenance activities safely.
  • Inspect equipment condition, seek performance improvements, and contribute to maintenance strategies.

About You:

  • You are self-motivated with high initiative and energy.
  • You have electrical trade qualifications or electrical engineering qualifications with practical experience.
  • You hold an electrical supervisor or contractor license (NSW).
  • You have technical experience in maintenance functions.
  • You possess problem-solving and reliability improvement experience.
  • You are committed to safety and wellbeing.
  • You have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
