Job Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Hot Strip Mill team in Port Kembla. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-performing team and contribute to the success of our manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and improve plant condition, ensuring safety standards are never compromised.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve plant condition, ensuring safety standards are never compromised.
  • Provide technical knowledge and root cause analysis approach to all equipment problems using problem-solving processes to maintain asset performance.
  • Day-to-day management of plant performance and plan, organise & oversee the safe execution of maintenance activities.
  • Inspect and understand the condition of all plant and equipment.
  • Seek ways to improve performance and input to maintenance strategies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Electrical trade qualifications or electrical engineering qualifications with practical experience.
  • An electrical supervisor or contractor licence (NSW).
  • Technical experience within a maintenance function.
  • Problem-solving and reliability improvement experience.
  • A commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
