Senior IT Leader
Tin Operations Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior IT Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining IT strategies, providing effective solutions, and leading the IT team.
The position offers flexibility, with the option of working primarily from Burnie or Renison mine site, with regular visits to the other.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT team, providing direction, coaching, and management to ensure effective delivery of IT functions.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Develop, manage, drive, and deliver IT strategies, focusing on innovation and improvement.
- Ensure robust cyber security, disaster recovery, and backup strategy/policy development to safeguard business operations.
- Manage the implementation of IT system changes and upgrades, minimizing disruptions.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to resolve problems promptly and efficiently.
- Engage external resources (contractors/service providers) to supplement internal capability and support business objectives.
- Analyze opportunities for cost optimization and system improvement via continuous improvement initiatives.
- Be hands-on when required, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Experience in solution architecture using cloud-based technology and remote support is essential, as well as familiarity with networking and the Microsoft technology stack.
