Job Summary

We are seeking an Events & Coverage Specialist to produce detailed multi-platform coverage plans for key stories and events. As a key member of our team, you will support teams to prioritize commissioning for digital platforms and ensure efficient use of resources.

The Role Involves:

  • Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of current events and issues, monitoring a wide range of media outlets/sources.
  • Overseeing the futures diary, communicating upcoming events with output platforms and relevant content teams, and initiating early planning process.
  • Ensuring planning documents are clear, detailed, accurate and up to date.
  • Responding to breaking news with appropriate planning detail, calls and follow-up to ensure output needs are met.
  • Suggesting and pitching story ideas that would be of interest to new and underserved audiences and contributing to planning and editorial meetings.
