The Eating Disorder Research Program at St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative research projects focused on the prevention and cure of multi-dimensional disorders, including obesity and eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in neuroscience, molecular biology, and physiology to advance our understanding of eating disorders and develop effective treatments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement research studies, collect and analyze data, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and community partners
  • Contribute to the development of grant proposals and research funding applications
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research developments and advancements in the field of eating disorders
Requirements
  • PhD in biomedical or life sciences from a recognized institution
  • Experience in neuroscience, molecular biology, and physiology, with a strong background in research design, data analysis, and interpretation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and multidisciplinary team
  • High-level conceptual, innovative, and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems
  • Ability to write high-quality journal articles and grant applications
