Trade Apprentice Program

This trade apprenticeship provides comprehensive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals. You will earn a nationally recognized trade certification through a registered training organization.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of mobile equipment fleet through routine maintenance and inspections. Under supervision, you will progress with your formal training requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with inspecting and testing electrical systems and components
  • Support breakdowns and planned maintenance on loader automation systems
  • Diagnose faults and repair mobile plant air conditioning systems
  • Learn to diagnose faults in mobile mining equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs under supervision
  • Support installation of wiring, lighting, and control systems
  • Maintain workshop housekeeping and safety standards
  • Complete TAFE studies and formal training requirements
  • Commit to maintaining health, safety, and security standards
  • Ensure underground mobile equipment workshops and equipment are maintained to high housekeeping standards
  • Support mobile equipment mechanics with skills learned through studies and training
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, professional, and efficient manner
  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with industry values
About You

You should be a curious and hands-on individual with a genuine interest in automotive and mechanical repairs. You have completed or are completing Year 12 and hold a current driver's license. You are eager to learn, work safely, and contribute to a team that values excellence and respect.
