Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Orientation and Mobility specialist to provide services to support individuals with vision impairment.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will respond to requests for information and support, establish effective communication with clients, and conduct individualised O&M assessments.
  • They will plan and deliver client-centred Orientation and Mobility programs, monitor and evaluate a client's O&M skills, and ensure client safety.
  • Additionally, the candidate will facilitate the development of independence and problem solving in the client across various travel situations.

Skills and Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have experience working with individuals with additional disabilities, be competent in undertaking programs with diverse client needs, and demonstrate sensitivity when working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
