Job Opportunity

The Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Associate Clinical Nurse Consultant.

  • Responsibilities: Provide advanced clinical expertise and consultancy in collaboration with the Nurse Grade 7 team, provide direct and indirect care as required, work with the wider health care team of Emergency Department ensuring patient and unit goals are achieved, provide leadership and direction to nursing staff and facilitate operations and Human Resource Management consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within the Emergency Department.
  • Requirements: Registered nurse with advanced clinical knowledge and skills, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, strong leadership and communication skills, ability to provide safe, quality and cost-effective nursing/midwifery care consistent with contemporary standards and best practice in emergency nursing and patient flow.
