The Physiotherapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Advanced Podiatrist to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

• The Podiatrist Advanced role will provide advanced clinical leadership for Mackay Hospital and Health Service podiatry services, incorporating service development, consultations, day to day management of the podiatry clinics; clinical supervision and quality activities.
• The Podiatrist Advanced role will be required to deliver advanced clinical podiatry services based on current Best Practice Guidelines to consumers of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, including clients with chronic disease and 'high risk' feet including amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease, gross foot deformities and other conditions.
  
  

About The Team

Our Podiatry Service provides specialist assessment, treatment and advice for acute presentations, especially in relation to wound care and acute diabetic foot complications. Referrals are accepted from medical, nursing and allied health staff both from the hospital and community settings.
