Job Title: Health and Wellness Advisor

We are seeking a qualified Health and Wellness Advisor to fill a key position within our employment services team.

This role will involve conducting thorough assessments of candidates with diverse disability and barriers to employment, providing counseling intervention as needed, referring candidates to additional external support services to address barriers, and evaluating the progression of cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of job seekers with complex barriers to employment;
  • Offer counseling intervention strategies tailored to individual needs;
  • Refer candidates to external resources for support and guidance;
  • Monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness of interventions;
  • Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of clients;
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on psychological services and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in psychology or counseling with eligibility for registration or membership;
  • Experience working in employment services or a related field is highly regarded but not essential;
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention strategies;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
  • Capacity to work towards achieving positive outcomes for clients.
