Overview of the Position

This pivotal role focuses on leading content production efforts to ensure the editorial excellence of Home Beautiful and its Marketplace. The primary responsibility involves conceptualizing and generating a diverse array of original, brand-aligned content, which includes news articles and comprehensive features, while also adapting magazine content for online platforms. The Senior Content Producer will play a crucial role in developing social media assets and email marketing campaigns by implementing strategic initiatives and crafting engaging content.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and utilize available data and insights to enhance audience engagement, increase traffic, and strengthen brand loyalty, all while fostering a commercially viable environment.

This position requires a leader who exemplifies best practices in operational consistency and process adherence, ensuring that all produced content meets high-quality standards. The Senior Content Producer will also have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior team members or colleagues from other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Development and Management
    • Crafting clear, accurate, and compelling content
    • Adapting magazine articles for digital readership
    • Conducting research and collaborating with industry experts and public relations professionals for story development.
  • Social Media and Email Marketing Execution
    • Managing accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, focusing on audience interaction and growth
    • Overseeing weekly email marketing campaigns, ensuring content is optimized for traffic generation.
  • E-commerce Content Production
    • Ideating and producing new affiliate content aligned with current trends and successful past initiatives
    • Creating shopping content to enhance revenue from the Home Beautiful Shop
    • Compiling a content schedule based on insights from affiliate partnerships and audience development data.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-5 years of writing experience in the digital media landscape
  • Proficiency with content management systems, image editing software, and analytical tools
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms
  • Experience in content ideation and development
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and practices
  • Capacity to mentor others, sharing expertise while promoting a collaborative team atmosphere
