About the Role

We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager - Government to join our dynamic team in Australia and New Zealand. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving growth and engagement with government accounts throughout our territories.

You will oversee, manage, and grow our government business across various regions, including Sydney, Canberra, and Victoria. Your strategic focus will be on strengthening existing partnerships and acquiring new business opportunities that contribute to increased account production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government clients to maximize all business opportunities.
  • Implement strategies to drive occupancy and revenue growth across our hotels in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Maintain market awareness of local competitor rates for serviced apartments.
  • Represent Minor International at local and international trade events to increase brand awareness.
  • Ensure stakeholders are informed of key sales developments.
  • Collaborate with hotel managers and revenue managers to achieve agreed-upon occupancy requirements.
  • Work closely with the director of field sales to develop annual sales plans based on business trends and market conditions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar position within the tourism industry.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and building business.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a larger team to achieve common goals.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally when required.
