About Building Surveyors

At our organisation, we are committed to delivering high-quality building services. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We require the successful candidate to assess project documentation and liaise with clients, making recommendations for compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
  • The Building Surveyor will facilitate the issuance of building permits in a fast, courteous and efficient manner.
  • The role involves providing documentation management including ensuring that job files and other office systems are completed accurately and on time.
  • The Building Surveyor will also ensure communication with authorities and councils via notification of requests for information is timely and accurate at all times.
  • We expect the successful candidate to prepare technical reports overviewing compliance requirements and recommendations for projects.

Ideally you will have previous experience and possess the following skillsets:

  • A successful completion or undertaking of relevant University degree, or any equivalent formal qualifications studied locally or from an internationally recognised organisation.
  • Accreditation/progression of attaining accreditation license within state requirements.
  • Maintain minimum CPD requirements in accordance with relevant state and national accreditation bodies.
  • The ability to check documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete tasks for jobs as assigned or initiated in consultation and approval from Senior Building Surveyor.
  • Manage time to effectively and efficiently accommodate client requests and internal workload delegation.
  • The ability to work independently and communicate clearly with clients, management team, office team members, colleagues and consultants.
