We are currently looking for a Building Surveyor for one of our clients. As a Building Surveyor you will be reporting to the Coordinator Statutory Building and responsible for the assessment of building related permits and other building related matters as per the requirements of the Building Act 2011 and Building Regulations 2012 and associated legislation.

Position Responsibilities:

- Assess building permits, demolition permits, occupancy certificates and the like, for all classes of buildings as per the statutory requirements of the Building Act 2011 and Building Regulations 2012.
- Inspect and directly engage in the provision of building control services including, inspections, and investigation.
- Provide support in compliance, enforcement, certification, statistics and associated record keeping duties.
- Receive public and staff enquiries on building related matters, complaints and correspondence, taking appropriate action in line with established policies and practices with the aim of maintaining a strong customer focused service.
- Liaise with the Building Commission, Department of Fire Emergency Services, Water Corporation, Western Australian Local Government Association and the Australian Bureau of Statistics relating to building matters.
- Maintain OHS within the statutory building team area.
- Provide a high level of professional customer service, advice and support.

Qualifications, Licenses and Clearances:

- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
