Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Deputy. As a key member of our security practice, you will be responsible for identifying, testing, and mitigating security issues and incidents.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of information security fundamentals, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the industry. You will work closely with our team to deliver projects that meet our monthly, quarterly, or yearly roadmap objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Own and deliver projects to meet security objectives
- Define security solutions and collaborate with the team to select the best approach
- Implement controls to address vulnerabilities in our applications
- Assist with penetration testing exercises
- Triage bug bounty submissions
- Perform code reviews for security remedial work and fix code-based vulnerabilities
- 2+ years of experience in information security fundamentals
- Strong presentation and written documentation skills
- Comfortable with taking on a "builder" mindset and executing with high agency
- Understanding of cloud security best practices (AWS)
- Experience with distributed web-based applications services (PHP, Go & JS) and their security posture
- Secure SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), and SAST (Static Application Security Testing) experience
