About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Specialist at the a2 Milk Company, you will be responsible for assisting with planning, executing, and monitoring security measures to protect our computer networks, systems, and sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity alerts from various sources to ensure timely detection, response, and mitigation of potential threats.
  • Respond to security events and incidents based on business priority.
  • Evaluate the integrity and confidentiality of security processes, particularly with respect to sensitive personal information.
  • Collaborate with the managed service provider (MSP) on day-to-day cybersecurity interactions to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Assist the IT team and third parties with the implementation and operation of our cybersecurity technologies.
  • Develop proactive cybersecurity reports to inform and guide management.
  • Participate in cyber incident management activities, including identification, documentation, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents.
Requirements
  • No prior experience is expected, but cyber analyst or cyber operations work placement experience while studying would be an advantage.
  • You should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the business and with third parties.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking, computing, and infrastructure security mechanisms and controls is required.
  • A strong understanding of public cloud-based architectures and environments, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, is essential.
  • Broad technology knowledge across software ecosystems and interrogating and remediating audit logs is necessary.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills are also required.
  • The ability to think outside the box and source your own answers within the process is highly valued.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
