Leadership Role in Renewable Energy Commercialization

This strategic leadership position plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by overseeing complex industrial decarbonisation projects from initial engagement through to successful deal execution.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Strategy Development: Translate corporate objectives into actionable plans across key sectors and geographies, fostering scalable business opportunities.
  • Deal Origination and Closure: Build a robust pipeline of commercial activities in Australia by originating, structuring, and closing large-scale infrastructure deals.
  • Team Leadership and Growth: Mentor and develop a high-performing team responsible for opportunity origination, customer engagement, and deal execution.
  • Project Development and Coordination: Facilitate cross-functional input to develop competitive project proposals and negotiate favorable commercial terms.
  • Strategic Partnerships and Negotiation: Develop negotiation strategies to secure major projects and partnerships with customers, partners, utilities, and regulators.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in commercial development, project development, or business development within the renewable energy, cleantech, or industrial decarbonisation sectors.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing large-scale infrastructure or industrial energy deals, with significant experience building a book of business in the hundreds of millions.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic capabilities, with expertise in risk evaluation and transaction structuring.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills, with experience engaging executives, regulators, and external stakeholders.
